Perfume is a very popular cosmetic. Chanel and Nina Ricci, and Yves St. Laurent, belong to the list of well-known French brands. Perfume is usually a very expensive product. However, it is always good for creating an impression; anyone wearing it will make their peers regard them as well-groomed, and that it says something about their sensuality and / or sexuality. Indeed, some say that none among man and woman is complete without his or her perfume. It is good for serving as an extension of one's personality, noted for perking up one's mood, making one feel confident and giving one something of the X factor. On The Crest Of Magical Waves Of Perfumes

My. Fair. Beauty. Fair skin is sexy. A lady with fair fine skin is regarded as a fair beauty.

For centuries, men have equated fair skin on ladies with beauty. Even today, although tan skin is appreciated in the west, most cultures prize fair skin. Men love fair beauties. Not the sickly white, corpse-like complexion, but fair, translucent and radiant with a healthy rosy flush.

With sun exposure, even wearing an SPF 50 sunblock will not prevent your skin from darkening. That fair, white complexion is hard to attain and just as hard to maintain.

In the past, women would stay out of the sun as far as possible in order to prevent their skin from darkening. If they had to go out in the sun, they would carry parasols to protect themselves from the sun's skin-darkening rays.

Whitening home remedies have been in existence for as long as fair skin has been in vogue. In the kitchen, a woman might mix egg white with lemon juice to use as a facial mask to lighten the skin.

Licorice root contains substances that fade away the pigmentation in the skin and hence is used in many skin lightening products. Hydroquinone is another potent skin lightening ingredient used in skin whitening treats. It disrupts the production of melanin and hence prevents skin from darkening. Arbutin is another skin lightening ingredient that works by inhibiting the production of melanin.

Many of the skin whitening products contain plant extracts to give you fairer skin. Mulberry, white mulberry and paper mulberry contain arbutin which makes skin fairer by preventing your skin from darkening. Elizabeth Arden's Prevage White Concentrate Brightening Serum has Soy Ferulate-C.

Most whitening skincare products make skin fairer by sloughing off the darkened surface of the epidermis. Alpha hydroxy acids like lactic acid and glycolic acid remove hyperpigmented skin cells and boost cell turnover, hence making skin fairer. Garnier light night overnight whitening peeling cream uses AHAs to peel the skin and slow down melanin production.

Then there are those that prevent skin from darkening by inhibiting melanin production. Melanin is the pigment that gives skin its color. More melanin is produced when the skin is exposed to sunlight. Vitamin C, Kojic acid, Azelaic acid, Arbutin and Hydroquinone are substances often used in skin whitening products to lighten your skin through the inhibition of melanin production. Biotherm white detox targets RAB27 which would otherwise support the melanin that would cause dark spots.

Typically, whitening skincare products treat the epidermis at most. Recently, Lancome has come up with a range that treats the dermis as well as the epidermis. Since UV rays penetrate the dermis as well as the epidermis and causes inflammatory messengers to stimulate melanocytes to produce melanin which causes skin to darken, Lancome's blanc expert GN-White generating new whiteness spot eraser targets these inflammatory messengers on the epidermis and dermis to prevent the darkening of the skin.

This is done through the use of sphinganine and mint to neutralize those signals so that melanocytes aren't stimulated to make melanin.

ok you have a variety of things on that list lol.

Urban Decay Primer Potion is probably one of the most popular eyeshadow primers - it will help the staying power of your eyeshadow and it will prevent creasing. All eyeshadow primers say that this is what they do - there is so many out there that you kind of have to try different ones to find which works the best for you. Two Faced Shadow insurance also does this. Benefit FY Eye is good but unfortunately they d/c'd it but you can get it on ebay etc all sorts of primers exists out there .. its definitely all about preference!

A Mac Paint/Paint Pot is a base - it is not a primer - it will not prevent creasing or help the staying power of your eyeshadow. It will basically help bring out the colors of your eyeshadow that you are using a provides a nice base of color depending what you are doing for a certain look - i wouldnt recomendusing a primer with these because that will definitely crease.

the same goes for Shade sticks/cream eyeshadows etc. They are not primers so they will not do what a primer does. They will provide a nice base for your look.

with any thing you have to remember that loading it on doesnt help esp. with creams and primers a thin layer definitely goes a long way. I used to do the foundation trick on my eyes and i still do because i have pigmented eyelids that are a shade darker than my face (sounds weird but it doesnt look that weird lol) it helps when wanting a clean canvas but I do suggest still using a primer on your lids as well!

What Powders Are the Best For Evening Out Skin Tone?

I just need someone to suggest some products to even out my uneven skintone. I'm 13 and my beauty routine is concealer (for any blemishes, or pimples) and translucent powder to set the concealer. I looking for a loose, sheer powder, but not something that's translucent because it doesn't even out my skin, it just sets everything. I was thinking MAC or Lancome. Please tell me what the product is, and why your suggesting it!
Neutrogena's cosmetics don't come in my skin color. I'm Philipino/African, so my skin is an extremely deep tan. That's why I was asking if MAC would work.

Hi! If you're really trying to go for a new look a good idea is to go to a salon that offers image consulting and have them give you some professional advice. If this is too pricy, another option is to go to your nearest dept. store, pick out your favourite brand of makeup and ask the sales people what they would do.

A little piece of advice, the only expensive makeup necessary is the stuff that creates the base (i.e. foundation, concealer, highlighter, blush). Honestly, everything else you can get from the drugstore. What I like to do is buy an expensive product that i know works for me, and then when it's just about out, i take it into a drugstore and match the colour and buy a cheaper version.

Another good idea is to buy expensive makeup if it's something that you will pull out of your purse at a party or osmething (i.e. your lipgloss or lipstick). It's important to always portray an image of class and glamour and you won't get this by pulling out a CoverGirl lip gloss container.

Some of my favourites high-class brands are Chanel, NARS, and Laura Mercier.
