so I just purchased mac fluidline and I like it a lot but sometimes I like going for a smuged/ smokey eye look... is it possible using this liner? I wanted to use fluidline because it lasts all day but Im starting to think I can use it only for the perfect line/daytime look. Any tips? Thanks
I guess ill put black eyeshadow in addition to the fluidline..
but doesnt eyeshadow get all over? or does a primer help keep that in place
Since it is basically a liquid, and smudge proof, you wont be able to get a good smokey eye look from it. It's best to just go with a pencil. Use those pecils that you twist and they come up not the cheap ones. Most come with smudge brushes on them to create a sexy soft smokey eye look.

Mac Glitter Eye Attn: All MAC Lovers! A few brief questions.....?
Is MAC Fibre Riche Mascara a good one? What kind of effect does it have on the lashes (long, curly, thick etc.) How does it compare to Cover Girl's LashExact (my current drugstore fave). Also how is MAC's Brow Set eyebrow gel? Also what colors of eyeshadow, lipstick, and lip gloss would you suggest for a budding MAC user. I'm pale with naturally dark blonde hair (going to dye it dark brown soon). gray-blue eyes. I like pink, red, rose, mauve, and berry lip colors (but nothing all that dark) and neutral eyeshadows preferably with some glitter and/or shimmer. What are some of your fave lipglass shades? Prrr and Underage are ones I'm considering. Also is there any lipglass shade out there that is similar to their discontinued shade called Expensive/Ivory Shmmer (it was kind of a ivory gold). Thanks for any help and advice you might be able to provide!
i personally don't care for any mac products other than shadows. but for nice neutral shades for lids with subtle shimmer, try shroom or gleam or naked lunch.

I want a bold black eyeliner that I can use above my lower lashes to go with a really intense smoky eye look. I heard that Urban Decay 24/7 and MAC powerpoint work really well, but which will work better for this purpose? Are there other kinds that will work better?
I highly recommend the Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencil for your smokey eye look. Their colors are vibrant. They are great because they are so soft and creamy which is great for the smoky eye look. But you need to blend as soon as you them on because they set within 30 seconds leaving your smokey eye budge-proof.
As for other kinds that will work better - I recommend cream eye liners for smoky eyes. My fave to work with is Smashbox's Cream Eye Liner - you need a brush to apply it but it gives you smudge proof coverage.

I am 12 and IN LOVE with the brand, MAC. I have some eye shadows, a bunch of lip glosses, and a mineralized skin finish Duo. I was just curious what your favorite thing from MAC is. Also if you have any recomendations for me. I have an olive skin tone and i am not alowed to wear mascara. Thanks,
Sarah
i think i'm officially in love with MAC after the hello kitty range, it's so adorable (but so costly!)
I must say pretty much ALL of their products are up to high standards. I really like their pigments, blushes/mineralised highlighter and fluidline!

im going to mac for the first time tommorrow. but i feel i am very educated about mac. i dont want to buy any eyeshadowss because i have alot of eyeshadows. but i have to choose between
1.studio tech concealer or studio sculpt concealer
i have dry skin.
2. i want to get a paint pot, but i dont know the use of it. do you wer it as an eye shadow or under eyeshadows?? what does it do?
3.is mineralize skinfinish natural good to wear as a foundation?
i dont need very heavy coverage at all. would concealer and mineralize skinfinish natural be a medium coverage?
4. what lipstick would you recommend for fair skin?
5. what blush is your favorite?
****i prefer you help me with 1,2,3 before 4 or 5. and i REALLY need help with number 2*********
i only have 70 dollars
2. as an eye base. if you are wearing multiple colors, put on one the color of your skin. if you are wearing one color or very similar colors, wear a paint pot that is the color of your eyeshadow as a base. this will make the color much more vibrant!
or if you want, it can be used as a cream eyeshadow because it starts out creamy then dries on your eyelid so it wont move around. but it is better used as a base.
3. yes, if you dont need much coverage then it will be good to wear with just concealer, i do it all the time.
4. i think its called dream.... and i also like one that i think is called cirque de nude or something like that.
sorry i couldnt answer all your questions, but if you go online to www.maccosmetics.com there is a live chat that makeup experts can help with your questions. but, the best thing to do would be to go to the mac counter or store and ask them your questions because they can actually see your hair, eeye, and skin color to determine what would be best for you to buy.
mine please?

Mac Pigment Eye how do you get MAC pigments to stick on the eye?
hey yall, so i just bought a 55 set of mac pigments and am expecting the shipment to be in, in a couple of days. i have never used pigments before, so i would like to knwo if they are applied with the same ease as MACs regular eyeshadow or if u should use a medium to apply them.
what works best as far as getting the pigments to stay in place, or do i just apply and go?
any and all tips welcome!
Use a primer like UDPP, MAC paints or MAC paint pots underneath them. You can also use either a little bit of MAC Fix + spray or Mixing Medium (Pro items) if you want a more intense color.
Hope that helps
