Okay well I'm doing some chemistry homework and need some help.
I do not understand how to do some of these, and would be grateful if someone could tell me the answer and how they got it.

44. What is the volume of a salt crystal measuring 2.44 x 10^-2 m by 1.4 x 10^-3 m by 8.4 x 10^-3 m?

74. What is the volume of an object with a density of 7.73 g/cm^3 and a mass of 5.40 x 10^2 g?

75. A cube of a gold-colored metal with a volume of 59 cm^3 has a mass of 980 g. The density of pure gold is 19.3 g/cm^3. Is the metal pure gold?

76. Describe the rules that are used to determine the number of significant figures in the results of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

44. Volume = [2.44 x 10^-2 m] x [1.4 x 10^-3 m] x [8.4 x 10^-3 m]

= 2.9 x 10^-7 m³

74. Density = mass / volume

volume = mass / density

= [5.40 x 10^2 g] / [7.73 g/cm³]

= 69.9 cm³

75. Density = mass / volume

= 980 g / 59 cm³

= 16.6 g/cm³

Now 16.6 g/cm³ < 19.3 g/cm³ so the metal is NOT pure gold
