Mineral Eyeshadow Shimmer

I know that you wet it, to make it eye-liner, but does anyone have tips on what sort of brush to use? Is it easy to do, or does it end up going everywhere?

I tried it out with a smidgen of Vaseline earlier - is this how you make lip gloss?

I would like to use it with a clear nail varnish, but how do I do this without ruining the rest in the pot? I am a bit wary of putting the brush in in case it drips and ruins the rest of the powder?

I'm a really athletic/preppy person & love to try new things.
I use a ton of different make up but i can never seem to make it look good on me.
I have gray eyes and fair skin. Yes, there's a slight bit of acne once in a while but i use bare minerals to make it disappear. I would love to try new makeup ideas that include mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, & lots of flashy colors. I'm about to receive the 88 shimmer eyeshadow palette from coastal scents. If anyone has any ideas i would love some help. Thanks (:
