Kay-a or K-eye-a? how would you pronounce Kaya...personally I love Kay-a ?
I just don't want to constantly be correcting people who mispronounce it!!!
The name Kaya would commonly be pronounced "ky-a"
However, if you spelled it Keya, you won't have this problem. But then you might have people trying to call her "kee-ya," which would be irritating.
My best advice is to go with what you like best. If people can mispronounce my name (Savannah) then they can mispronounce anything!! Unless you want to use a very common name, people are always going to mispronounce, misspell, or otherwise wreck the name somehow. You'll get used to it quickly, and since you only have to correct them once, it's not as often as you might think. Not that many people will see the name spelled before hearing it pronounced anyway.
Beautiful choice, btw. I love the name!
