Eye Primer

What eye primer should I use under my Bare Escentuals eye shadows?

I've been wearing my BE eye shadows dry, but they fade away after a while. I thought about buying the primer that BE sells, but don't feel like the amount of product you get is worth the price. Is there another primer that someone has found to be just as good if not better than the one that BE sells, both in price, quantity, and results?

Have you tried using your eyeshadows wet? like using a mixing medium? Just get a stiff brush that won't get flimsy when you wet it, or just a good concealer brush, you can use water in a spray bottle and get a good amount on the brush and sprits it with water and the color would look more vivid and brighter. Or mix it into a paste with eye drops and it'll give it the same effect. Just a tip (:
As for a primer I really like Too Faced Shadow Insurance, its works really good, keeps eyeshadow from fading and creasing, and the same for Urban Decay Shadow Primer Potion. Both cost $18 and that's with tax's.
But for me I like to also use a cream base on top of my primer just so the eyeshadow can adhere to my lid better. Like a MAC paint pot, but if thats too expensive I also really like revlon's cream eyeshadows
I use those as a base and my eye shadow stays on all day (:
