How do i change the boot badge over on a Ford Focus ?

I have a Ford Focus ST and have managed to get hold of a Ford Grille and boot badge which are the same colour as the car (Magnum Grey) . The front grille badge was not a problem but i am curious as to what would be the best way to change the boot badge without marking the car over as i am unsure as how to go about it . what would be best the best product to use to keep the badge tightly stuck to the boot ,Many thanks

The boot badge is probably held with a piece of adhesive. The safest way to cut thru that is with dental floss. Hook a large strip between your fingers and saw back and forth. It will cut thru the adhesive and will not damage the paint. Use some GooGone or adhesive remover to get the area clean once the badge is off.
To reinstall a badge the best product is 3M molding tape. A double sided foam tape like what is used at the factory.
